The 2010 Book Swap is in full swing. Collection bins have been placed at a number of local schools including:

Last Day to DROP OFF BOOKS!

Well, we are very excited about tomorrow! The book swap is finally here. We have collected just under 1,000 books and we expect to hit 1,000 books today. Today is the last day to get books in for the swap, and your best bet is to put them in the collection bin at the public library, as this will be in place until tomorrow morning.

You can come to the book swap with your books tomorrow if you can't drop them off before. We look forward to seeing lots of happy kids come along tomorrow from 12pm-5pm.

A big congratulations to all the girls of Troop 1111 who have worked so hard on this project and have done a wonderful job.

Ally, Arianna, Breonna, Taylor, Krissi, Elsa, Marina, Lucy, Logan, Reanna and Chloe...YOU ARE ALL THE TOPS!

Thank You St David's

St David's Hospital is now sponsoring the Georgetown Kid's Book Swap! Big thanks to St David's for helping financially. The support will offset our largest expense which has been printing costs. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!

Support Georgetown Blue Santa by Participating in the Book Swap!

The Georgetown Kids Book Swap is being held to support kids in two ways.

1. Any child in Georgetown who has books they want to exchange can swap them for new books at the book swap. The only cost to participate is to provide one book in excellent condition for Blue Santa. This can be a book you already own, which makes this a free event for kids!

2. Every child in need who is supported by Blue Santa will have the opportunity to receive books as well as toys through our book swap donations to Blue Santa. The more children who participate in the book swap, the more books for Blue Santa. For every child that participates; Blue Santa receives one book. If every elementary child in Georgetown were to participate in the Book Swap this would amount to almost 5,000 books for Blue Santa! Wouldn't that be a wonderful way to give to our community? To read more about Blue Santa and support their mission, please visit http://bluesanta.georgetown.org/.

Here's Where The Collection Bins Are Located!

The Book Swap collection bins are now in the foyer of all the elementary schools in Georgetown! Here is a full list of the places you can drop off your books. Last date for drop off is Thursday December 10th.

Look for our Book Swap collection bins!

Here is a picture of our Book Swap bin at the Georgetown Public Library. The second picture shows where you will find it. It is just outside the opening to the children's book section. All the bins placed around town are these same style of red bins, so now you know what to look for! You can also pick up the tag that you will need to put in your bag with your books at the collection bin. Or print one by clicking here.
